Coaching Staff

Head Coach

Adam Shell
This is Adam Shell's fifth season with the Paladins, which have included setting the all-time record for single-season wins and points at RMC.
Prior to RMC, Adam was an assistant coach at McGill University under current Tampa Bay Lightning assistant Martin Raymond, and played defence at McGill University from 1999-2003.
Adam recently gained Hockey Canada High Performance Level 2 Coaching Certification, and coached the Serbian Senior Men's national team to a Bronze Medal at the 2007 IIHF Div III World Championships.
Adam is a chartered accountant with previous work experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Richter, Usher, Vineberg.

Associate Coach

Chad Blundy
Chad Blundy enters his fourth season as associate coach.
Prior to RMC, Chad played 5 years at McGill University, 3 seasons of Senior A hockey, and was IM Manager at Sheridan College.
Chad handles the forwards and the power play, and is the strength and conditioning coordinator for the program.
Chad has a degree in Kinesiology, and presently works in the RMC Athletic Department as Recreation Clubs and Intramural Assistant Manager.

Gary Marino
Gary Marino joined the RMC staff in 2009 as video coach, and is currently in charge of the defenceman and penalty kill.
Gary has extensive coaching experience as the head coach of AAA teams in Kingston and St Catharine’s, ON.
Outside of RMC, Gary is an OPP officer specializing in tactical and fire arms training. He is married and has three children.

Matthew Bourgeois
Matthew Bourgeois begins his second season with the team as Goaltender Coach and Ontario Junior Recruiter.
Originally from Oshawa, ON, Matt also works with the Whitby Fury Jr. A squad and multiple individual goalies playing professional and major junior.
Outside of RMC, Matt is a practising nurse and runs a successful coaching business called Absolute Goaltending.

Fraser MacAlpine
Fraser MacAlpine joins us this season after completing his undergraduate degree at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, NB and working with the Men’s and Women’s Varsity Hockey teams as videographer. Fraser is born and raised in Kingston, ON.

Jeff Oke
Jeff is a former player and captain at RMC (2009-2010) and is in his second season with the coaching staff.
He is currently completing his PhD in Civil Engineering at Queen's University.
Jeff hails from Grand Bend, ON, came to RMC after a season of NCAA hockey at Lake Superior State, and won multiple academic and military awards during his time as a cadet.

Andre Berube
Andre enters his second season with the hockey program, and first as Head Equipment Manager.
Andre is a fourth year cadet, in training to become an Armoured Officer. He hails from Ottawa, ON and has multiple members of his immediate family in the Canadian Forces.

Chad Bridger
Chad is a recently retired Supply Tech in the Canadian Forces who now works in the welding shop at CFB Kingston.
Chad brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, with multiple successful years working with the National Chamption Pembroke Lumber Kings of the Central Junior Hockey League.
Chad hails from Petawawa, ON. He has a wife who remains in the CF, and a young son.
